Returning to work from Maternity Leave

Well, I am back to work now, after 9 months of maternity leave with our second child, Rosa. I can’t believe how fast the last 9 months have gone! It only seems 5 minutes since I was finishing off, ready to embark on our next chapter of parenthood!


Whilst I have been off I have been enjoying time with Rosa and our son Dylan, who started primary school. I have also been enjoying catching up on reading, following blogs and generally feeling inspired for developing Sam James Coaching in the direction I want the business to continue to grow in. I have found myself feeling inspired in the early hours of the morning whilst up feeding the baby, and been discovering lots of new things about myself.  It has given me lots of ideas for blogs to share with you over the coming months about getting more from your life, finding your happiness, parenthood, chasing those dreams and much much more!

The Stop the Flitter Diary for 2016 will be printed really soon. For those of you who haven’t seen it before, it is a diary I have developed with the very talented Laura Garcka of Pen and Mouse Design. It is more than ‘just a diary’, with different sections to help you gain control of your life and lead a more fulfilled, balanced life. It is also a great accompaniment to life coaching sessions with me. I love using mine, especially since we made some changes for 2015.  More information will come soon on the website.

I have also been lucky enough to use the services of some great local businesses, via Mum2Mum Norfolk business network. I will share links and information about these in a blog soon!

I have been working with some new life coaching clients over the last few weeks as keeping in touch days, and it has helped get me excited for returning to my job. I feel so lucky to have found life coaching at the point I did, both to receive it and be able to offer it as my business. I love working with people to help them make changes and feel happier in life.  My returning to work after maternity leave feels so different this time because I am returning to a job that I absolutely love, and I am my own boss. With my life coaching business I can set the times and hours that I work, and as I mainly offer appointments from home, either in person or via skype / FaceTime it is really flexible around childcare.

I am looking forward to sharing more with you over the next few months and hopefully inspiring you to start making those changes that will make the difference for you.
